Visit Fisherman’s Bastion

There are several lookout towers and panoramic viewpoints to take in. Be sure to walk up the stunning staircases to take in the full experience at Fisherman’s Bastion. Buda Castle, on the Buda side of Budapest grandiose and imperial . It overlooks the city from atop Castle Hill. Built in the 13 th century, this historic castle is now known as the Royal Palace. The beautiful structure offers courtyard that are free and open 24/7, but it also is home to the National Gallery and Budapest History Museum.Note the Gothic arches in inner courtyards, and the outside walls topped with Baroque details.

Hike up to the Citadel.

Pest offers more nature than its counterpart, and it offers a few lovely little hikes such as the hike through Gellért Hill to the Citadel. It’s a short journey up and when you arrive to the top you’ll be greeted with more amazing views of Budapest as well as the fortress and its sculptures. There will be several vendors at the top if you want to buy any little trinkets or food as well.
